If you feel unable now or in the future to meet your loan or credit payment obligations, because of illness, unemployment or other reasonable cause, you should contact bankmecu and/or your credit provider.
Please contact bankmecu by visiting one of our Service Centres or contacting 132 888 to discuss Hardship Assistance. You should do so as early as possible to explore the options that may be available to you.
bankmecu may be able to assist by:
- lowering your contracted repayments and extending the term of your loan, or
- applying a short repayment break until you are again able to meet your contracted repayments.
Other options might be available and can be explored.

Simply complete the
hardship assistance application form and provide the necessary information (including how you came to experience difficulty and how you would like bankmecu to assist).
Once complete, you can email the form along with any additional information to credit.integrity@bankmecu.com.au
Any additional parties to the loan contract are likely to need to participate.
