Greenfleet Australia and bankmecu have been partners in sustainable development since 2003, when together we developed the award winning goGreen Car Loan. While we are now planting trees for the goGreen® Car Loan in our own Conservation Landbank, we still encourage customers to offset their own greenhouse gas emissions through Greenfleet.
Greenfleet is an environmental charity that has been planting Australian native forests to fight climate change since 1997. With the support of individuals and organisations, Greenfleet has now revegetated almost 400 sites around Australia, with a combined area twice the size of Norfolk Island.
Together with Greenfleet we encourage individuals and organisations to reduce the greenhouse gases they produce at home, at work, through driving and air travel and then to offset their remaining emissions by planting native forests.
The forests Greenfleet plants do more than take carbon from the atmosphere. Greenfleet plants a wide range of native trees in permanent forests that help reduce salinity and soil erosion and provide essential habitat for native wildlife.
