The natural environment provides us with the resources required to carry out day-to-day operations. By minimising bankmecu's impact on the environment, this will help to ensure bankmecu's sustainability by reducing operating costs and placing less strain on natural resources.
bankmecu recognises that our major environmental impacts are those caused by the human activities supported through products and services offered. These are referred to as ‘indirect environmental impacts'. In line with bankmecu's commitment to sustainability, we continue to develop and provide socially and environmentally responsible product features.
bankmecu's major direct environmental impacts are caused by energy consumption, travel, paper usage, waste generation, water and land usage. bankmecu has in place an environment policy regarding our approach to minimising these impacts.
