MoneySmart week is a great time to review your finances
MoneySmart week will be held between 2-8 September 2012 and is designed to encourage Australians to take a closer look at their everyday money management.
bankmecu’s General Manager Lending & Personal Banking, John Yardley says, “MoneySmart week is a great time for consumers to review their financial situation and look at ways to improve it.”
bankmecu believes in helping to educate consumers about the importance of financial literacy and how to make sound money management decisions.
“We want to show consumers how they can take simple steps to help improve their financial wellbeing,” said Yardley.
Some tips for consumers to review their current banking arrangements and look at how to save money include; paying off personal loans, getting a credit card back under control, making extra repayments on the home loan or building up a nest egg in case you need the money one day.
“Often savings can also be made by simply refinancing a mortgage loan, consolidating a credit card or store card debt, or reviewing your everyday banking account to ensure it fully meets your financial needs at the lowest possible cost,” said Yardley.
MoneySmart week is the perfect opportunity for everyone to review their money management arrangements and look at how to improve their financial wellbeing.
