bankmecu phishing email
bankmecu has been made aware that a phishing email is currently in circulation that purports to be from bankmecu.
Phishing attacks are emails that link to spoofed and fraudulent websites designed to fool recipients into divulging personal financial data such as credit card numbers, account usernames and passwords etc.
The bankmecu phishing email is announcing a new security upgrade and is requesting recipients to update their account information by clicking on a fraudulent link to spoofed version of the bankmecu website.
Please note that bankmecu will never send out emails to customers asking them to update, confirm or disclose personal banking or card details.
If you have received an email that appears to be a hoax, or you have provided any personal financial details in response to one of these phishing emails, please contact bankmecu immediately on 132 888.
