bankmecu’s Community Support Policy outlines the Company’s commitment and approach to community support through fundraising, payroll giving and sponsorship activities.
In 2010/11, bankmecu staff also raised money for charities on a monthly basis through Casual Clothes Day. Charities supported by bankmecu staff throughout 2010/11 included:

In addition, bankmecu staff have the option of donating to charities of their choice through payroll giving.
Two groups of staff have come together to form a collective payroll giving program to support the CUFA Village Entrepreneurs Program in Cambodia.
Spotlight - CUFA International Leadership Challenges
Staff from the National Access Team have donated a total of $384 in support of Art Channy, a mother who is trying to support and advance her family by developing a piggery. From all reports it is progressing well with the small profits from the business being invested back into the business and helping in her children’s education.
A second Team made up of Staff from across the organisation have donated a total of $448 in support of Khann Neam and Sem Sok Lim who are using funds raised to support their business of selling chickens and second-hand goods respectively.
Staff also collectively supported four World Vision Children, raising $2,666 in 2010/11.
