EAP has been heavily promoted throughout the business via word of mouth and voluntary feedback from employees who have utilised EAP services has been extremely positive which may be the reason for the increase in staff utilisation over the reporting period.
Variances in the reporting timeframes for EAP periods listed in the table above exist due to changes in the format of data being received from the EAP provider over time.
As well as an EAP, bankmecu offers outplacement services to assist staff who are seeking continued employment after retrenchment or redundancy when required. These services encompass résumé writing, job search and interview skills, as well as vocational counselling. There were 2 staff members who were made redundant in the past year who were offered the use of the outplacement service in 2010/11.
