reporting lost or stolen credit cards

If your VISA Access Card, VISA Credit Card or Redicard has been stolen or lost, reporting it immediately can minimise the risk of unauthorised use. Please contact the following numbers to cancel your card.

Within Australia:

Call the VISA hotline on 1800 648 027. On receipt of your notification, your card will be cancelled immediately.

During business hours you can also contact bankmecu on 132 888. 

Overseas:

Contact VISA global customer assistance, or call the VISA hotline on +61 2 8299 9101 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

Replacement card:

If you are within Australia you card be replaced within 5 working days. If you are overseas, VISA International can organise a replacement card, however it will cost US$175 and will not be issued with a PIN.

We suggest taking a Cash Passport card as it works just like a credit card (except it is preloaded with money), however a free card replacement can be issued anywhere in the world.
