At bankmecuwe’re all about making things easier for our customers, so we’ve redesigned our online loan application so it’s quick, user friendly and gives you an indicative decision within minutes.
You will then have the option of completing a full loan application in your own time, or simply submitting your contact details to bankmecu, and we’ll help you with your application.
If you choose to submit your contact details, a lending consultant will contact you.
If you choose to complete a full application, you can save your application at any time and complete the remainder of the application at a time that suits you. What could be easier?
Information to have handy
To assist in completing the loan application have the following information handy:
- Income – gross (before tax) and net salary (after tax), employment details and other income (from shares, rental property, etc.)
- Assets – approximate values of property, vehicles, savings, superannuation, etc.
- Liabilities - loan balances, repayment amounts, credit card or overdraft limits, etc.
If you are not currently a bankmecu customer we can verify your identity online via an Electronic Verification search. Completing the ID check will speed up your loan application. Providing details from one or more of these source documents will assist with ID verification:
- Drivers Licence
- Medicare Card

If you cannot access the application it may have been commenced on our previous online system. On 20 June 2013 bankmecu implemented a new and improved online loan application to assist customers with the loan application process. Saved data from the previous system will not be transfered to the new design, however we are confident you will be impressed by the simpler, quicker and more user friendly design of our new application, and encourage you to give it a try!
